Established in 2007 by the folks at Radford Dale winery in South Africa, the Land of Hope project aims to produce and market a range of premium wines wherein 50% of all profits are directed back towards previously disadvantaged employees, their families, and dependents. The Land of Hope Trust focuses on providing high-quality education and skill development opportunities, empowering individuals for long-term social upliftment and contributing to positive economic and democratic evolution.

This wine shows both the exuberance of the variety in its plentiful floral notes and its nobility through its compelling mineral acidity. Endowed with flavours of soft, ripe peaches and yellow apples blended with lightly toasted spices and honeysuckle. The creamy texture is complimented by its crisp acidity, providing just enough richness to please the palate and just the right amount of zing to refresh.

Match this wine's richness and complexity with dishes like butternut squash ravioli tossed in sage butter or a creamy chicken pot pie.

For four generations now, the Frey winery has been operating in the heart of the Ober-Flörsheim village, known as the highest elevated municipality in south-western Rheinhessen. The family's roots of vineyard work go as far back as the 18th century and today, grapevines flourish on 23 ha spread over a mosaic of microclimates and soil types from North to South. The winery is operated by the current generation of Freys - Philipp and Christopher, along with their father Stefan. The focus is on organic and selective picking of fully ripe grapes with near-natural fermentation, initiated by native yeasts.

Plush fragrances of yellow plums, white grapefruit and apricot unravel on the nose, revealing delicate herbal undertones as the wine opens up. The palate offers a rounded and subtly viscous texture, packed with marmalade flavours and showcasing impeccable balance between vibrant natural acidity and gentle sweetness. Anchored by a mineral base of crushed chalk, this Riesling demonstrates remarkable potential for continued evolution, despite its current age.

Compliment the complexity of this wine with pan-seared trout dressed with almond brown butter.

Established in 1930, Domaine Tour Saint Michel has remained a cherished family property since the very beginning. Founded by Michel Fabre, who acquired the original vines still in use today, the legacy was passed to his son, Henri. Together with his wife, Eliane, they cultivated and expanded the estate over the years. Presently, the Domaine encompasses 44 hectares, including 30 hectares in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Since 2007, Mireille has overseen the vineyards, honouring familial traditions while embracing a modern approach. She is joined by her daughter, Magali, in upholding the tradition of excellence into the future.

Made from select lieux-dits, this Châteauneuf projects aromas of rich black cherries and preserves with subtle hints of dried tea leaves and savoury accents. Full-bodied and structured, it showcases ripe tannins and mature fruit flavours seamlessly integrated with whiffs of cracked pepper and traces of garrigue. Adding depth to the wine's classic charm is a lingering impression of licorice on the finish.

Great with hearty dishes like a 7-hour slow roasted leg of lamb, lamb tagine, or prime rib.
