Domaine Tour Saint Michel, a family property, was created in 1930. Michel Fabre, founder of the Domaine, acquired the first vines and his Henri took eventually up the torch. Aided by his wife Eliane, he developed and grew the domain and today, there are 44 hectares,  including 30 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Since 2007, Mireille has managed the vineyard in accordance with family tradition, bringing a more modern style along with her daughter, Magali.

The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Lien checks in as 100% Grenache, from the Brusquières and Terres Blanches lieux-dits, brought up in stainless steel and old barrels. It's ripe, sexy and undeniably hedonistic, with lots of kirsch, strawberries, spice and incense aromatics, full-bodied richness, light tannin and great finish.

Drink as the weather gets chillier and enjoy with venison steaks or brie with truffles.

94 Points - James Molesworth

Very solid, with a fleshy core of dark plum, black currant and blackberry fruit that melds slowly into notes of charcoal, warm paving stone and smoldering bay leaf and tobacco. There's lots of latent grip here, with a well of fruit in reserve. For the cellar. Best from 2020 through 2035. 420 cases made, 50 cases imported.
