Hourglass produced their first vintage in 1997 and for many years their entire production was from a single 4 acre vineyard just north of St. Helena. Today, they own two vineyards – the original estate Hourglass Vineyard, purchased in 1975, and the Blueline Vineyard in the Calistoga sub appellation, purchased in 2006. Pairing the wisdom, skill and artistry of the winemaking team and the soul of these dramatic vineyards, Hourglass wines are modern and elegant expressions that capture the essence of these expressive places of origin in every bottle. 

The 2021 Blueline Cabernet toes a perfect line of elegance, brightness, and power.  Initial aromatics show ground coffee, wet gravel, forest ferns and toasted oak barrel, which meld seamlessly into the rich, dark fruit tones. Cassis and pomegranate flavours emerge on the palate, where silky tannins are deftly countered by the tensional energy of natural, mouthwatering acidity and the trademark Blueline minerality. The refined tannins provide structure and support, lending weight to the wine's profile, all while maintaining its elegant precision.

The Piantini family's journey began in Chiusa di Pesio, Italy, where their ancestors left their wine-producing heritage to seek new opportunities in Mendoza, Argentina. Several generations later, the family acquired vineyards in the Cachapoal Valley from the founders of Winery Lagar de Bezana. In 2017, under the new ownership, the winery underwent a transformation, modernizing its processes and facilities, and was rebranded as Lagar de Codegua Terroir. This rebranding reflects a renewed vision and commitment to crafting premium-quality wines aimed at new markets and consumers in Chile and beyond

Situated at the base of the Andes Mountains, this Cabernet benefits from a unique terroir, where clear skies, cool nights, and gravelly soils contribute to its deep colour, refined tannins, and vibrant fruit expression. It offers fresh, delicate aromas of blueberries and blackcurrants, interwoven with savoury notes of pepper, grilled nuts, and cloves. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with smooth, velvety tannins and finishes with a long, satisfying elegance.

This wine pairs beautifully with well-seasoned red meats such as beef and lamb, especially when served with pepper or mushroom-based sauces. Château Tour des Termes derives its name from an ancient tower on a plot known as "the Terms," believed to have served as a lighthouse during the Gallo-Roman era. However, the estate’s legacy is deeply rooted in the history of the Anney family, who have overseen the vineyard’s development for generations. Since 1979, Jean and Christophe Anney have modernized the estate through significant investments in infrastructure and vineyard management, earning Château Tour des Termes recognition as one of the top Crus Bourgeois. 

This classic wine boasts a magnificent nose filled with dark, brooding forest fruits, sweet spices, and smoky nuances. Exuding class and elegance, it presents ripe, focused fruit layered with cassis, blackberry, and raspberry, harmoniously intertwined with delicate floral notes. The Merlot adds a refreshing lift and softness, culminating in a pure, dark fruit character on the finish.

Pair this layered, tannic wine with hearty dishes like roast beef, lamb and game, as well as rich, creamy sauces.

Sister’s Run is serious fun and serious wine. The talented, young winemaker Elena Brooks (of Dandelion Vineyards and Heirloom Vineyards fame) wears steel cap work boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in back of the ute for emergencies - like last minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and the like! 

The Old Testament vineyard is located in the heart of the Coonawarra. The resulting wine produced suggests ripe mulberry and blueberry aromatics with gentle notes of  shaved pencil and menthol on the nose. Soft red berry fruits begin to unfold on the palate, finishing with a spiced-liqueur like quality, carried by velvety tannins and perfectly judged acidity.  

Serve with leg of lamb or other rich dishes - try a country steak and shoe string fries.

Aimed at improving the livelihoods of those who work for the company as well as their families, the Great Heart wine brand is collectively owned by the winery staff and a portion of all sales under this label go directly to them. They're committed to sustainable and ethical farming to preserve the natural environment & well-being of the community. 

Grapes for the 2020 Great Heart Swartland Red came from dry farmed bush vine (goblet) parcels in the Swartland, aged 16-40 years. Consisting of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon & 18% Shiraz, the perfumed nose has notes of plums, mulberries, cloves and black pepper. The palate is full but firm and fresh with lovely fruit, spice and length. 

Pair with braised or roasted meats, such as braised short ribs or match with herb-infused dishes & grilled veg.

This Cabernet is deep garnet in colour, with attractive aromas of elderberries and red currant leaf. The broad mid-palate is cupped by silky tannins and layers of plums, graphite, mulberry coulis and cocoa dust.

A great pairing with roasted meats and root vegetables as well as creamy pasta dishes.
