Fresh & Floral

Located 50 km east from Saint-Émilion, the Barouillet family has been growing grapes for at least 8 generations in Pécharment, Monbazillac and Bergerac. Vincent Alexis, who joined his father in 2010, converted the vineyards to organic and is about to obtain the biodynamic certification. 

This splashy Pét-Nat is made from 50 year old Sémillon vines grown in clay and limestone soils. It is light in alcohol (only 9%!), fragrant, lively and richly textured on the palate. This bubbly has notes of lemon and lime, fresh apple and a touch of cut grass. Plenty of fizz!

Bold & Earthy

Unlike many winemakers, Frédéric Brouca is largely self-taught and took no formal courses on viticulture or winemaking.  His concept of growing grapes and winemaking focuses on reducing human intervention in the processes, and making it as natural as possible.

Frédéric makes a extremely small amount of red, sweet Vermouth from Grenache, Carignan and Terret Blanc at this winery in Faugères, South of France.

He makes it classically by adding neutral spirits produced from his own 1933 Cognac Still. On the side he macerates local botanicals; thyme, rosemary, lavender, rose petals and add some Moroccan Orange peels, local honey and 20% of the microscopic production is aged in barrels outside in the sun for 3 weeks or so to develop some oxidative complexities.

Floral and fresh, this vermouth is perfect to enjoy on its own with just an ice cube and a small bit of the best orange rind you can find.

Zesty & Creamy

This charming and expressive white is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon, and Chenin that were grown 100% sulphur free on clay & calcareous soils. Together, they create a well-balanced wine – a surprising union between freshness, fullness and aromas. There is a lightly oxidative note and a bready, lees-y back palate that bounces off the fruit which is at once fresh and zesty and creamy and opulent. Easy, fun and just a little bit wild.

Enjoy it by the glass and with white meats or poultry.

Château de Parnay is the flagship of the Loire Valley. The property is located along the Loire river and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Sourced from a walled vineyard, this 100% Chenin Blanc shows refined scents of lime, lemongrass, apricot, peach and quince. The palate is greeted by a round and mellow notes of preserved lemons and grapefruits with a beautiful freshness that provides an invigorating structural liveliness for gourmet pairings with fish and crustaceans.

Suggested pairing: cured fish, as well as grilled fish, crustaceans (langoustines, crayfish, lobsters), and hard cheeses (comté, mimolette and others).

3 bottles x Château de Parnay Chemin des Murs Saumur Blanc 2023. This wine is sourced from an entirely walled vineyard, this 100% Chenin Blanc shows subtle and refined scents of lime, lemongrass, apricot, peach and quince. Round and mellow on the palate with notes of preserved lemons and grapefruits with a natural freshness and classic Saumur minerality.

Pairing suggestion: This wine pairs well with foods that have a sweet and sour element: southeast Asian cuisine or pork chops with apples are just a few examples!

3 bottles x Clos du Château de Parnay Saumur Champigny 2019. Located along the Loire river on the most reputable clay and limestone terroir of Saumur-Champigny appellation, Château de Parnay has been producing outstanding wines for more than two centuries. This wine is made from old vine Cabernet Franc and it shows with beautiful notes of ripe red fruits, mint and spices. The palate is structured, silky and very well balanced. The length is exceptional.

Pairing suggestion: Cabernet Franc pairs well with grilled steaks and chops, Portobello mushrooms, green olives, pepper, rosemary, and mint.

Fruity & Bright

Château de La Chaize is among the oldest, most historic estates in Burgundy’s Beaujolais region. Cared for by the same family for nearly three and a half centuries, the estate has been passed on to new owners, the Gruy family, who are equally committed to managing the estate with the utmost care, while implementing an ambitious environmental plan.

Brouilly is the southernmost appellation in Beaujolais. This cru site specifically - but apparent in the entire Beaujolais region – are hills more pronounced than you will find in Burgundy. Some are rolling while some are steeper, and this topography has a direct influence on the way the vine rows are planted, how they are tended (by hand or machine), and how the vines are pruned. Château de La Chaize estate is located on a natural amphitheater with south/southeast exposure, on steep hillsides of sandy pink granite that allow for excellent drainage.

For this wine, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts with semi-carbonic maceration - 50% Burgundian (destemmed) and 50% whole cluster. Pumping-over is practiced without punching down, to preserve the fruit and freshness of the wine. 70% of the wine is aged in stainless steel, 30% in foudres for 12 months.

Delectable, fruity nose underscored with aromas of red fruits and notes of nutmeg spice. Generous and aromatic on the palate, with supple, mellow tannins. Notes of red fruit and spice offer depth and lively acidity. Expressive, generous and enjoyable right now, this is a perfect wine to enjoy with a slight chill.

Pair with all meats, chicken, wild mushrooms, and strong cheeses.

Fresh & Fruity

This Incontournable is made from Colombard, Gros Manseng and Sauvignon Blanc, the most popular blend for dry white wines in the South-West of France. A staple at every table on Arcachon's boardwalk, a beautiful village by the Ocean in the outskirts of Bordeaux, the Cuvée Marine is fresh and fruity, with aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry and a flinty salinity. On the palate is expressive, with a special texture given by a short maceration on the skins before pressing; vibrant and with a minimal saltiness that enhances its flavours.

Soft & Peppery

Stéphane Aviron can be considered a pioneer is his approach to winemaking in Beaujolais, however he would just tell you that he’s simply returning to the traditional practices that have always made fantastic Gamay wines. Sustainable viticulture, extremely old vines and classic Burgundian techniques.

The Stéphane Aviron Chénas is produced very vines that average over 100 years old, ranging in plantation from 1900 to 1923. Stéphane Aviron has been producing wines from this incredible 13.6-acre parcel since 1993. The soil is light and made up mostly of sand and small pebbles over a layer of clay and quartz. The old vines and poor soils combine for incredibly low yields and highly concentrated grapes.

Stéphane Aviron strives for a style that is elegant and fine in the Chénas without too much concentration. The wine is very drinkable. With his subtle approach to winemaking, the terroir is able to express itself very clearly and precisely. Dark black cherry colour with purple. Deep, ripe aromas of black cherry with a hint of black pepper. Very good weight; fleshy and round, very soft and harmonious. Delicious now or could be aged for several years.

Rich & Sweet

Jurançon is a very small wine region located in the Pyrenees, famous for its sweet wines made with late harvested grapes. The grapes are hand-harvested later in the season when the sugar levels are really high and the water content is very low. The delicate honey and herb-tinged nose is enticing, with a sweet edge. It has a lovely rich texture with notes of straw and herb on the palate and good balance with a honeyed sweetness.

This is the wine you want to open at the very beginning or at the very end of a dinner. It matches beautifully with all kinds of cheeses, specially goat and blue cheeses; as well as with foie-grass. It is also terrific as a dessert wine.
