Classically lactic and creamy on the nose and palate, with lemon yoghurt and fresh bread dough aromas and flavours, if a little more on the oxidative side of the spectrum, 2019 is clearly a ripe and generous vintage for Patrice. The density is amplified by the Beauregard cru, a southerly left bank cru with full south exposure. The signature acids of the region shine through nonetheless, sweeping through the long finish. The wines gains with aeration so be sure to carafe if serving now, or cellar into the mid-late-'20s. Lovely stuff. Tasted November 2021.

Beaureagrd is a Left Bank Premier Cru to the south of Chablis and not surprising one of the more dense, concentrated and hefty examples. The vintage accentuates to the probability and if 2018 seemed grand then get a taste of this unctuous and silk-textured ’19. Gemstone cut however, fine marbling and Kimmeridgian limestone chiseling, tart runners are crisp bites throughout. Terrific work once again from the Beines producer with more grape tannin and intensity than many. Drink 2021-2026. Tasted November 2021.
