Each case includes three bottles of the following wines:

3 bottles x The Flower and The Bee Sousón D.O. Ribeiro 2020 (Galicia, Spain)
Red | Souson

90 points - Robert Parker

This wine is the starting point to understand and appreciate the complexity of the Galician terroir and its native grape varieties. Deliciously easy-drinking, Coto de Gomariz has wanted The Flower and the Bee to be enjoyed unapologetically!

Shimmering violet. Smoke- and spice-accented cherry pit, blackberry and floral scents are complemented by hints of liquorice and succulent herbs. Nicely concentrated yet lively as well, offering bitter cherry and dark berry flavours that slowly unfurl through the back half. Closes long and subtly chewy, with firming tannins and repeating spice and floral notes.

Pairing suggestion: Enjoy on its own, or pair it with Spanish tapas.

3 bottles x Domaine Baud 'Rouge Ancestral' Côtes du Jura AOC 2020 (Jura, France)
Red | Pinot Noir, Trousseau

A delicious blend of 70% Trousseau and 30% Pinot Noir, this cuvée is named “Ancestral” because it is made from Baud's oldest plots of red grapes planted by Clementine and Bastien's grandfather. This light and whimsical red wine has aromas of leather and concentrated notes of morello cherry and wild strawberries. The tannins are soft, silky, and elegant. Extra sensation with a light chill.

Pairing suggestion: Enjoy it on its own, or serve with red meats such as game and venison.

3 bottles x Finca Casa Balaguer Tragolargo Tinto 2021 (Alicante, Spain)
Red | Monastrell

Tragolargo Tinto is a delightfully easy drinking young red made from Monastrell grapes grown in Casa Balaguer Estate in Villena, Alicante. On the nose, you'll find aromas of blackberry and strawberry, with some hints of eucalyptus and liquorice. Fresh and vibrant, on the palate Tragolargo Tinto is smooth, with structured yet soft tannins and a beautifully balanced acidity.

Pairing suggestion: Enjoy it with a creamy bolognese or with a meatball soup with beef stew vibes. Also great on its own.

3 bottles x Markus Altenburger Blaufränkisch Vom Kalk 2021 (Burgerland, Austria)

Red | Blaufrankisch

Grown on calcareous loam, the Blaufränkisch Vom Kalk is down-to-earth: fruity without being too superficial, persistent without being too demanding. The wine is produced without the help of technical or chemical tools, spontaneous fermented on the must, and matured primarily in large old wooden barrels. It is the house wine, the neighbourhood wine, the friendship wine – one that everybody wants to pour in the glass – a perfect meal companion or to be enjoyed solo with a good conversations and silent thoughts.

High-toned, bright, black cherry in the nose leading to a nice density despite its slight frame. Lushly-fruited and filled with tart fruit skin, cherry pit bitterness, ginger spice, and saline, pungent, and chalky mineral nuances.

About the Winery

Domaine Baud Père et Fils

The history of Domaine Baud dates back to 1742, and it wasn't until 1950 when René Baud, the 7th generation, rebuilt the vineyard which had suffered from the phylloxera crisis and two World Wars.

Starting with only 4 hectares, the vineyard progressively expanded to 20 hectares with the help of successive generations. Now, managed by siblings Clémentine and Bastien, the 9th generation, the estate continues to flourish and grow, with a strong commitment to sustainable viticulture and preserving the traditions and style that makes the wines of the Jura so unique and incredible.

The estate achieved the Terra Vitis certification in 2014 for its eco-friendly work and environmental preservation.

Finca Casa Balaguer

Andres Carull's family has been making wine in Alicante for decades. At a very young age, Andres already knew what he was going to dedicate himself too. However, a visit to Bordeaux in 2008 introduced him to natural wine; turning his winemaking passion towards this ‘old-but-new’ path.
The seed planted in Bordeaux in 2008 has has now blossomed into a personal project dedicated to producing stripped-back, honest wines that truthfully express his countryside, heritage and people.
Vibrant wines from living vines. Andres works exclusively with local grape varieties such as Montastrell, Garnacha, Garnacha peluda,
Rojal, Tortosina, Moscatel and Malvasía using nothing but fermented grape juice.
He farms the 20 hectares organically and biodynamically. Half of vineyards surround the town of Villena at over 600 meters above sea level and the other half are located in La Mata Natural Park right on the Mediterranean coast. Unfiltered, unfined, no sulphur added.

Markus Altenburger

The Altenburger family has farmed land in and around Jois since the 16th century. Their vineyards are only half an hour from Vienna, but seemingly in another cosmos altogether.

Markus is fascinated by Blaufränkisch – the red grape of Burgenland. He works with massal selections from his Gritschenberg vineyard's old vines. There, loose clusters and small berries are well adapted to the dry Pannonian summers. The grapes express the schist for fruiter wines charming in their youth, as well as the limestone, for length and structure. The wines express this tension, the influences of limestone and schist soils, and something of the wild abundance of nature, as well.

Since Markus took over his family’s estate more than a decade ago, he’s moved from what he calls “well-behaved wines” to those that are much closer to nature and bear a far more personal stamp. In the cellar, he favours native yeasts, minimal added sulphur, long, protective lees contact, and concrete and neutral wood for ageing.
