Cascina Castlèt has belonged to the Borio family for generations; Mariuccia, the current owner, inherited it from her father in 1970. Mariuccia focuses on her terroir and the local varieties. The vineyards of the estate are spread over 31 hectares, and are all located in Costigliole d'Asti.

The grapes of this Barbera are left to dry in small perforated crates before being pressed. On the nose, it has aromas of plum and redcurrant jam. The palate is big and full, with tannins that soften the sweet fruit character. It has a very intense and long-lasting aroma typical of great, long-aging wines.

Excellent with braised meats and game and ideal with mature cheeses.
