Christian Bamberger winery is located in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. The Bamberger family has been practicing viticulture since 1658 and Christian is now the 14th generation. After an internship in Napa Valley, studies at the University of California in Davis and a degree in business administration at the University of Mainz, he returned to his parents' winery in 2004 and has been running the business since 2007.
This pure Sauvignon Blanc from Christian Bamberger is fermented in stainless steel and shows a very elegant nose with aromas of gooseberries, cassis, elderberry, mirabelle plums, grapefruit, light paprika notes, green nettle, flint and hibiscus flowers. On the palate it is wonderfully fresh, racy and juicy, the aromatic fruit continues in the mouth. The fine flavour paired with refreshing minerality make this a wine full of finesse. Elegant and long-lasting and just plain fun to drink!
This Sauvignon Blanc would pair perfectly with any fish dish.
