Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer and pioneer in the Burgundy winemaking scene. He grew up in a family dedicated to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's. The Maison Roche de Bellene offers a complete range of carefully cultivated and versatile wines, often made from old vines. All of the Maison wines are made with respect to sustainable and natural farming practices, with as little intervention as necessary to showcase their individual terroirs.

A fresh and elegant Morey-Saint-Denis made from old vines, highlighting floral and red-fruit notes characteristic of the vintage. Scents of candied cranberries combine with notes of wild strawberry and toasted barrel spice while light, fine-grained tannins and bright acids render a highly approachable style. Despite its youthful exuberance, the wine's structure hints at its ability to further develop with bottle age.

A great addition to any cellar, match the firmer texture of this wine with protein based dishes made with braised or roasted meats or enjoy it alongside washed rind cheeses.

94 Points - Sara d'Amato

An elegant pinot noir, generously perfumed with a pleasant musk. Notes of tilled earth, new leather and red cherry skin mark the palate. A hint of bitterness contributes to the overall impression of freshness. The oak treatment and natural fruit spice seem to blend seamlessly into one another. Botanicals such as hibiscus, bay leaf, and white pepper emerge with a little air. Features notable structure and excellent length. Engaging and lively. Best 2025-2030.
