Nicolas Potel is an iconic producer in Burgundy. He grew up in a family dedicated entirely to wine; and after gaining some experience internationally, he started his own project in the late 90's.
Les Toussaints (All Saints) is a Beaune Premier Cru vineyard in Burgundy. It produces red wine from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The 6.42 hectare (15.86 acre) plot sits just to the north of Beaune Village itself. The site benefits from slightly increased altitude and steep, limestone rich slopes.
Compared to the Premier Crus in the north of the village, the wines from the central area tend to have some extra richness and roundness. Les Toussaints sits at the northern edge of this central group, to the north of Les Grèves.
Pair this wine with mild cheeses, chicken or rabbit in a creamy mustard sauce or mushroom risotto.
